Katie Reichard, Director of Government Affairs

Katie is a long-time policy advocate from Jefferson City, MO. Katie received her BA in Human services from Columbia College and spent 8-years working in the Missouri Senate. In 2014, Katie began her career in the private sector as the Legislative Director for the Missouri Dental Association. Following her tenure there, she had the opportunity to work for the Missouri Behavioral Health Council - a non-profit, behavioral health association - to develop and guide policy and advocacy efforts, and ultimately improve access to care for Missourians. Her passion for integrated healthcare and access continued and expanded to her current position as the Director of Government Affairs at the Missouri Primary Care Association, serving community health centers across Missouri.

Before finding her roots in public policy and healthcare, Katie worked at Yellowstone National Park where she enjoyed fly fishing and hiking before moving to Nashville to navigate the music business as a singer. She now resides in Jefferson City with her husband, Jared, their son, Finn, dogs Ruby and Daisy, and cat Mowgli. Katie is a strong believer in community collaboration and partnerships, and is a proud board member of the MO School-Based Health Alliance, and the MO Rural Health Association; she is also a member of the MO Foundation For Health’s Exemplary Advocate Cohort (est. 2018). Katie brings all of her experiences, personal and professional, to a mission of improving equal access to quality healthcare.
