Outreach Program Manager
Lane joined the Missouri Primary Care Association in August 2002. She provides leadership, training, technical assistance and consultation to Health Center staff on a variety of topics, including:
Medicaid and Marketplace insurance outreach, education and application assistance;
Changes to Medicaid, Medicare and the Marketplace;
Strategies to increase proper use of the health care system, especially for the newly insured:
Communication issues related to cultural competency, health literacy and limited English proficiency;
Outreach strategies to improve health care access for traditional, and emerging, diverse and/or vulnerable populations.
Lane brings many years of experience in community outreach, coalition building, and health policy, plus expertise in developing messages and materials for consumers with low health literacy. Through an RWJ Foundation Covering Kids and Families grant, the Missouri Women and Minority Outreach Program, a CMS Outreach and Enrollment grant, and now HRSA Outreach and Enrollment funding she has been involved with statewide strategies and action to enroll eligible, but uninsured, Missourians in health insurance. She is an active member of the Cover Missouri Coalition, is a Missouri Rural Health Association Executive Board member, and serves as MPCA’s point of contact with HRSA on Outreach and Enrollment efforts and Special (vulnerable) Populations. She holds Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
