Kathy Davenport, Quality Improvement and Risk Management Program Manager

 

Kathy Davenport, RN, ASN, CPHRM, PLNC, joined the Missouri Primary Care Association in February of 2010.  Mrs. Davenport is a member of the Missouri Center for Primary Care Quality and Excellence Team.  She provides training, technical assistance and consultation regarding Patient Centered Health Home, Risk Management, and Quality Improvement.  Mrs. Davenport received her Associates Degree in Applied Science in Nursing from Excelsior College-Albany New York July 2004, Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management from the American Hospital Association Certification Center January 2011, and Professional Legal Nurse Consultant from Jurex Center for Legal Nurse Consulting May 2012.  Prior to joining the Missouri Primary Care Association Mrs. Davenport worked for a Federally Qualified Health Center in Missouri for 15 years.  She brings a vast range of experience from being a member of the Nursing Staff to Medical Clinic Manager.  As a native of Columbia she has witnessed the impact of health illiteracy and disparities in her community. In her endeavors she hopes to empower individuals to improve their individual health outcomes which in turn will impact their families and their communities.
