Improving Chronic Pain Care

Individuals with chronic pain often suffer from more than physical pain.  Psychological factors along with their physical pain can be complex and take a myriad of healthcare professionals (primary care provider, behavioral health specialist, pain management provider, etc.) to treat.

Missouri Primary Care Association provides learning opportunities and support to organizations to better manage their chronic pain population.  Using a population health management approach, Primary Care Health Homes can participate in ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), care team trainings, and support that includes pain clinical registries and quality measures.
