Provider Recruitment & Retention

Missouri Health Professional Placement Services is a collaboration between  the Missouri Primary Care Association and  the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). Missouri Health Professional Placement Services recruits providers in all specialties of medicine, oral health and mental health for Missouri.  Rural and urban healthcare facilities located in Health Professions Shortage Areas (HPSAs) are also eligible for recruitment services.

Missouri Health Professional Placement Services include maintaining a database of providers interested in practicing in Missouri.  We work with healthcare facilities, communities, private practices, community health centers, etc., and identify provider interests with available practice opportunities.  We offer assistance to sites and providers with state and federal loan repayment options through State Health Professions Loan Repayment (PRIMO) and the National Health Service Corp (NHSC).

There is no fee for our recruitment assistance.  Missouri Health Professional Placement Services  is funded by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Rural Health and Primary Care.

Missouri's Community Health Centers have been caring for families for more than 30 years. Our clinically progressive centers offer dental, medical and mental health care services to underserved families throughout Missouri . If you want to practice your craft, rather than manage your own practice, join our dedicated interdisciplinary teams of primary care professionals and contribute to the improved quality and access to primary care in Missouri .  Community Health Centers provide locally competitive compensation, good benefits, malpractice insurance, and a regular schedule.  In addition, clinicians receive the satisfaction of fostering long-term relationships with patients that result in continuity of care, while making an impact in a medically underserved community.

Health Center benefits vary individually, most include:

  • Competitive Salaries
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Generous vacation time
  • Paid Sick leave
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Retirement Benefits
  • Paid Continuing education
  • Federal/state loan repayment
