History of MHPPS
The State of Missouri, through private and public partnerships, has developed the Primary Care Resource Initiative for Missouri (PRIMO) Program. Using PRIMOs community-based ‘pipeline’ approach to recruit and retain health care providers, people and communities throughout Missouri are impacted by increased access to health care and life quality. To further assist communities with recruitment and retention efforts, PRIMO partners with the Missouri Primary Care Association to implement MO Health Professional Placement Services (MHPPS). MHPPS helps communities recruit and retain dedicated and caring healthcare providers who have expressed an interest in practicing in rural and underserved areas of our state.
